This Is Vanilla Bean—Not Vanilla Candy: What to Expect From Heritage Vanilla Bean Spice

Most vanilla protein powders are built to taste like dessert: vanilla ice cream, vanilla frosting or a sweet vanilla milkshake.

TLC Heritage Vanilla Bean Spice™ is different. It was formulated to taste like real vanilla bean: warm, aromatic, lightly sweet and gently spiced. If you are used to heavily sweetened vanilla protein powders, ours will taste lighter. That is intentional.

What to expect

This is not an engineered dessert flavour. It is a real-ingredient vanilla profile made with fully disclosed vanilla extract, ground whole vanilla bean with visible seeds, Ceylon cinnamon and a small amount of organic coconut sugar.

There are no generic “natural flavours,” no non-nutritive sweeteners, no thickening gums and no engineered vanilla flavour system. The flavour is therefore softer, warmer and less candy-like than many conventional vanilla protein powders.

Why it tastes different

Real vanilla bean is aromatic before it is sweet. It brings warmth, depth and complexity, but it does not taste like ice cream on its own.

Many dessert-style vanilla protein powders build intensity with concentrated flavour systems, high-potency sweeteners or texture agents. We chose a different route: named ingredients, full disclosure and a flavour that tastes closer to the ingredient on the label.

How to make it taste its best

  1. Use milk or a creamy plant beverage when you want a richer, creamier result.
  2. Add the liquid first, followed by the protein powder.
  3. Shake vigorously for 25–30 seconds or blend until smooth.
  4. Let it rest for approximately one minute before drinking.

That brief rest allows the vanilla, cinnamon and protein to settle into a smoother, more integrated flavour. Heritage Vanilla Bean Spice also works beautifully in oatmeal, yogurt, smoothies and baking.

The bottom line

If you want a protein powder that tastes like vanilla candy, this may not be the one.

If you want real vanilla bean, gentle spice, light sweetness and a fully disclosed ingredient panel, this is exactly what we built.

Vanilla bean. Not vanilla candy.
Lightly sweet. Warm. Aromatic.
