Formulation Integrity Over Flavour Systems

TLC PureProtein 80™ is formulated without artificial flavours, “natural flavours,” non-nutritive sweeteners, lecithin, gums, or engineered flavour systems added solely to enhance taste or instant mixability.

Because our whey is non-instantized, it may require a little more shaking or blending. Natural clumping may occur. This is normal — and it reflects our choice to avoid unnecessary emulsifiers and instantizing agents.

Research on soy lecithin has identified changes in microbial metabolites, but the clinical significance remains uncertain. These findings do not establish that lecithin damages the gut. Read the human trial (Wellens et al., 2026).

Because added lecithin is not necessary for our formulation, we choose to leave it out while the evidence develops. This is a precautionary formulation choice—not a claim that lecithin-free protein has proven superior gut-health outcomes.

Mixing behaviour alone cannot establish purity or tell you whether another powder contains lecithin. Read our formulation standards.
